Tina and Les Pine were a husband-wife screenwriting team who co-penned scripts for numerous TV series such as CBS-TV's Ben Casey, I Spy (which co-starred Bill Cosby and Robert Culp), ABC's The Big Valley western series, and the long-running NBC-TV series Columbo which starred Peter Falk. The couple also wrote the script for the films A Man Called Adam (1966), which co-starred Sammy Davis, Jr., Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Cicely Tyson and Louis Armstrong, Claudine (1974), and 1981's The Right Track. The couple co-wrote the All in the Family episode titled "Archie and Edith, Alone" in Season 2 of the series.

Les got his start in Hollywood as a comedian before switching to screenwriting in the early 1950's. Future wife Tina, who was born Tina Rome in New York City, began her career as an actress, appearing in bit roles in 1950's Lilith, and 1952's Park Row before switching to screenwriting with future husband Les in the mid 1960's.
