Synopsis[]

Bobbi Jo, the wife of Archie's old war buddy Duke Loomis, arrives for a visit ... make that his second, much younger wife. Edith becomes uncommonly distressed when she overhears Archie claiming she made a pass at him.

Summary[]

Paying a visit to the Bunker household is Bobbie Jo, the bubbly, buxom, blonde, and much-younger newlywed wife of Duke Loomis, an old Air Force buddy who saved Archie's life in WWII. Expecting his older first wife, a surprised Archie falls over himself to be uncommonly gracious and hospitable to Bobbie Jo, whose beauty, bounce, and over-developed bosom Archie can't take his eyes off of. Naturally friendly, Bobbie Jo expresses her gratitude by unexpectedly kissing him good night on the lips. Aghast that Mike & Gloria may have witnessed this, Archie claims that she'd made a pass at him. Unfortunately, Edith overhears this, and confronts Bobbi Jo, asking her to leave. While Archie tries to explain to Edith what actually happened, a solemn Bobbie Jo walks out, leaving Archie to worry about the future of his friendship with Duke.

Goofs[]

Character error

According to Edith, Bobbie Jo's visit will mark the "first time in twenty four years that Archie and Edith will not be sleeping in the same bed together." She seemed to have forgotten when Cousin Maude visited in a previous episode, Edith slept in the bedroom and Archie slept on the couch and when Edith had jury duty in a previous episode, she slept in a hotel without Archie and in a future episode (Archie The Gambler), she said that after a fight with Archie, she took Gloria when she was a little kid and left Archie and stayed at her mother's home. Not to mention the many times Archie stayed overnight at hotels during various conventions.

Errors in geography

Bobbi Jo mentions going to Germany, however, Germany did not exist at the time since the show was set before the fall of the Berlin Wall.
