Synopsis[]

Archie's union is finally able to negotiate a contract with Pendergast Tool & Die, ending the strike. In the union's deal - the workers still get shortchanged in accepting a flat pay rate over 3 years in the deal, instead of a cost of inflation raise escalator, which would have given them possibly much higher wages over the duration, though.

Summary[]

Archie's union finally negotiates a contract with his company that the workers ratify. When Mike finds out the terms - a flat pay rate for the next three years - he tells Archie that his union should have turned down the offer and started to fight for a cost-of-living escalator, especially with the onset of sky-high inflation, and that the workers are getting cheated out of higher wages to cover the inflation cost. Archie, however ignores "The Meathead", and is just glad that the strike has ended.
