About Roger
When Gloria and Mike invite Mike's eccentric, handbag hippie friend Roger over to the BUnker house, it sets Archie off; disliking his rather bohemian ways, long hair, and the sporting of a male handbag which was becoming the popular fashion amongst young men at the time, it prompted Archie to speak his mind about him, saying that "He's as queer as a 3-dollar bill, and he knows it!" When Archie's thoughts of what a "real man's man" really is is disproved by an old longtime pro-football player friend named Steve (Philip Carey) comes out of the closet as gay, the shocked Archie is made to eat crow!
