Synopsis[]
Edith finally confronts the waitress who tempted Archie's fidelity after Harry unwittingly hires her to work at Archie's Place.
Storyline[]
Archie is caught between sympathy and self-preservation when the "almost other woman" from his past really needs his help. Her name is Denise (Janis Paige) and she's the attractive waitress who was the other half of an evening that Archie - and Edith - will always remember.
Remember Denise? You know, the waitress with whom Archie nearly had an affair two years earlier? Harry - without consulting Archie, or realizing that they knew each other, or about their past romantic encounter, well..er, eh moment, eh, make that kiss - - hires Denise as a waitress at Archie's Place.
Archie is caught between a rock and a hard place, and when he finds out about Harry's new hire, he then worries what Edith will say if and when, eventually, as it's bound to happen, the two women finally meet. Sure enough, Edith runs into Denise at the bar ... and, after a long conversation, Edith, she being the forgiving, compassionate and understanding type that she is, decides to forgive Denise for tempting Archie into infidelity.
