Archie and Murray are the victims of an elaborate extortion plot by one of Archie's high school classmates.


An old high school buddy of Archie's (who is also a con man) comes to town to inform Archie that he has been elected Man of the Year.

In this episode, Archie is said to have graduated high school in 1940, yet in season three of All in the Family (episode #3.22 "Archie Learns His Lesson"), Archie attends night school to receive his GED because he dropped out of high school to care for his family.
