Archie's depressed at Christmas, particularly since he has to find a way to tell his family he did not get the bonus he expected because his team bungled a work order. Christmas is anything but merry in the Bunker household this year. Anticipating his usual Christmas bonus, Archie makes like a modern-day Scrooge when the bonus doesn't come through.
