Synopsis[]
Mike and Gloria are set to move into their own home next door to Archie and Edith but Mike has forgotten to have the utilities in their new home turned on, leading to another fight between the young couple and Archie.
Episode summary[]
The day has come that Mike and Gloria are moving into their new home and Archie is practically pushing them out the door. Archie is being so obnoxious that Mike finally reaches a boiling point until he declares his independence and calls Archie a fathead. He and Gloria spend the night in their new home without electricity, plumbing or heat (because Mike neglected to call the utility companies to make sure they were operating on the day they would move in). Archie is overjoyed that the Meathead is suffering but Edith's motherly instinct force her to intercede, she walks out and intends to suffer right along with the kids. Archie is all too happy to take care of himself but while making a mess in the kitchen, he runs across Gloria's bowl from when she was a baby and it melts his heart. He goes next door with a half-hearted apology and tells Mike and Gloria that they can stay at his house until the heat gets turned on.
Quotes[]
- Archie: [after nearly destroying the kitchen while trying to cook a steak] Well, there's always Froot Loops.
Did You Know?[]
While trying to cook his dinner, Archie knocks an open bottle of salad dressing off the kitchen table. A few moments later, it's back on the table again, miraculously not having spilled a drop.
